SBIR Workshop last Wednesday -- written 12/12/05

Got to meet with agency representatives, including the MDA (Missile Defense Agency) the folks I've submitted a proposal to.

Also spoke with Robert Hunter - a professional proposal writer - who read my MDA proposal and gave me some feedback. He said that he liked what I wrote, but that my work plan was an engineer's plan, and was too short, that I should write more like a scientist - saying that we'll do this, and test, what results we expect, what we'll do if we don't get them, and such.

The MDA folks said that they were fixing the MDA process, and that its broken at the moment. They asked me what kind of feedback I would like. I said "YES" would be nice.

My proposal is on MDA 05-053 a XML database that uses P2P technology to keep all the notes up to date. If anyone is interested in reading it, drop me a note. I should have an answer in a week or two from them. (4/4/06 - didn't fund it)

I think it's a good project as it could fit in nicely with today's fad AJAX. It would also help those who wish to make geographically distributed websites.

Anyway, wish me luck!
